Where does the name ‘Yong-In’ come from?
Our namesake comes from the prestigious Yong-In University in South Korea. Our very own Master Jun Park got his Bachelors Degree in Taekwondo and Physical Education. The university is highly prestigious educational institute that mainly specialized in Martial arts, Physical Science & Education, Cultural Performing Arts, Administrative Management, Health and Welfare, etc. Master Park has earned his excellent reputation not only as an elite Taekwondo athlete, but also trough his dynamic teaching career. He is dedicated to bringing the benefits of Taekwondo to students and to the local community.

- Captain of the Yong-In University Tae Kwon Do Demonstration Team (1996)
- Member of the Korea National Tae Kwon Do Demonstration Team (1994-1997)
- Coach of the Vietnam National TKD Team (Serving as a Korea National Volunteer 1999)
- Awarded “Best Instructor of the Year” 2000 in Seoul, Korea
- Recipient of Presidential Sport Award (1996, 2013)
- Recipient of Presidential Volunteer Award (Serving the Korean American community in St. Louis for over 300 hrs in 2014)
